January Market Visit
January Market Visit
As we all know, last December, Downtown Line 2 went into full operations. Definitely, for the public, it meant convenience, more access to stations, I included in my trips for my field visits seeing all the stations from Telok Ayer all the way to Bukit Panjang. There are still a few stations which are under construction such as Jalan Besar, Macpherson etc.
Seeing this great development, I do believe that there is a possibility that f & b establishments will definitely open now that it is more accessible. By the way, Waterway Point at Punggol opened this 18th January, and there are a few of our customers who will open their branches there, #shoutout to The French Bistro, Zakka, Bali Thai, Buddy Hoagies and many more. I will do a separate entry for Waterway Point Mall (First Suburban Waterfront mall).

I dropped by at the Rail Mall too, (Hillview MRT), we have a few customers as well, #shoutout to Blooies.

I will do a separate visit to Singapore Botanic Gardens, as I will roll out my visits to all the places of interests such as the entertainment district, coastal parks, beaches and bays etc. I popped by atHolland Village too and see how’s things are going, went there around late in the afternoon, and surprisingly, Xing Wang KH Cafe were packed in their small outlet and the rest of the establishment were either empty or only a few customers. I have a strong feeling that fine dining might make a comeback too, given that Michelin Guide is already in the works. We will write themed posts for our market visits soon, such as best detox juice bars in town, (so popular now) before it was the milk tea, but not anymore, consumers are switching to juices, but there are still diehard milk tea fanatics. PerhapsBest Churros(churros are everywhere too!) we will do a post about it too. Let us know which topics you want us to cover and we will try our best! #ASKJAM
Just opposite Holland Village is the upcoming Raffles Holland V Mall, it is going to be a mix of medical centre along with food and beverage outlets, so we’ll watch out for that and breath more life in the Holland Village area. So excited to share with you guys also, that I will be visiting the land of the rising sun next week, thinking of bringing 1883 Yuzu or Orchid for my fellow Japanese bartenders especially the great Ueno-san and I do hope I could check out the bar scene and I will definitely share it here.
Till Next post!
